My name is Stan Fisher and I’m 66 years old living with multiple myeloma for over eight years now. I found out about the MMRF six years ago through my doctor who does a lot of research with them. I saw a way that my wife and I could contribute to the cause by various events that the MMRF puts together like half marathons. So we started training and running to raise money which was very fun as well. We did this for four years and received a lot of support from our friends and family.

This Grand Canyon hike should be even more fun since my wife and I love to hike and have been on some pretty long hikes in the past. We’ve already started training and, hopefully, will be more than ready by May.

Moving Mountains for Multiple Myeloma for us is to get as much support from all of our friends and family to help fund the MMRF to stay on the great track that they are on to someday find a cure for this terrible disease.
